Are you
dreaming to work on a cruise ship someday? Finding a job is a step by step
process that we should think well. First, you should know the types of job
available on your aspired industry and enroll on courses related to your dream
job. One of the known courses inclined to working on cruise ships is the BSHRM.
BSHRM or
Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management is a course that is
completed for 4 years. It is a course that gives you a variety of skills to be
learned and can be used in culinary, tourism and hotel operations. It’s a
combination of hands-on and administration skills. After graduation, graduates
will be able to learn basic accounting skills that will compute daily sales,
recipe costing and inventory management. Since, communication is an integral skill for
this job, BSHRM courses also offers enhancing student’s communication skills of
graduates.
Though the
program is enticing to fresh high school graduates, not everybody can enroll to
this course because of its requirements. Majority of the requirements are basic
in entering college like passing college entrance examination, having a
specific grade requirement and the minimum height requirement (5’2” for women
and 5’4” for men). Aside from these requirements, it is also a necessity for
students to be able to speak and write in English.
If you will
be able to pass all these requirements, congratulations, you are now on your
way to landing your dream job. Just make sure to study hard, and complete all
the course requirements of your school(the training and the internship of
almost 420 hours).
